Harrison Park talk.
A pervious student of the course came and spoke about his practice, his work and his journey from graduation to where he is today.
Harrison spoke of how he found the course difficult but really useful after graduating, he expressed the importance of creating work in line with your interests as this encourages clients to ask for work from what they have already seen of your practice.
He also spoke about how who you work with can be very influential on your experience of working, and that one of the jobs he has got they speak more openly and he much prefers working their because of this. Harrison outlined the importance of communication as a graphic design and be able to be open to discussion about your work.
Harrison was also quite negative about some areas of graphics explaining it is really competitive and that living of a graphic designers wage at first can be a real struggle.
Overall this talk was great to get an impression of what it is really like after finishing the degree.
